The identity of Sekar Nila, an invented batik house in Yogyakarta that draws every cloth by hand and dyes it only with natural indigo, for shops abroad. The name means indigo flower. The mark is a four-petal ceplok flower with three petals done and the fourth still being drawn by the canting, a drop of wax at the tip: the brand is the handwork. Undyed cotton cream leads the palette, indigo carries the text, soga brown is the accent.
What we built
- Stacked and horizontal logo on mori and on indigo
- An icon that still reads at 32 px, for the favicon and the Instagram avatar
- A ceplok repeat of our own, used on tissue paper, cloth and backgrounds
- Six line icons for care labels and hang tags
Built with
SVG, Python
The finished pieces

The logo is the fourth step of drawing the flower.
Mori leads; indigo for text; soga only as an accent.
Every line comes in both languages.
